Production Supervisor

£30,000-£35,000

Yolk Recruitment are supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Cardiff with the recruitment of a Production Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company that delivers bespoke products and projects for customers across a range of sectors throughout the UK.

As Production Supervisor, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the production department, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll lead a small team, plan workloads, monitor quality and work closely with internal departments to make sure projects are delivered on time. This role would suit someone with previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, print, graphics, assembly, CNC or a similar production environment who enjoys leading from the front in a hands-on role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team.
  • Plan workloads and allocate resources to meet customer deadlines.
  • Ensure products are manufactured to the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor production performance and resolve issues quickly to minimise delays.
  • Read and interpret drawings, artwork and production instructions.
  • Oversee manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, finishing and packaging processes.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure projects move smoothly through production.
  • Monitor stock levels and report material requirements.
  • Carry out quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Ensure machinery, tools and equipment are used safely and maintained correctly.
  • Promote high standards of health and safety across the workshop.
  • Support, train and develop team members.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records.

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience supervising, leading or coordinating a production team.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
