What you’ll do:
The position is responsible for leading the day-to-day running of all activities associated with manufacturing within a defined production area. The supervisors make sure that the production team is running smoothly and efficiently and interfaces with support teams to escalate issues and achieve goals. The position leads continuous improvement in production, quality, and safety while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure assigned manufacturing area is operating safely, promoting a zero incident culture by ensuring adherence to the life saving rules (e.g. Machine Guarding, Lock Out Tag Out) and following Management of Change Procedures.
- To lead and update production meetings, including Material Review Boards to ensure compliance and targets are met to all safety (MESH requirements), quality (inc Audits), labor, production and customer requirements on a daily basis. Communicating at the earliest opportunity and using the applicable processes any risks seen to achieve this.
- To Own all applicable QLI’s and fully understand their deployment to support quality within area and plant.
- To Lead Continuous improvement activities/kaizens in their defined production cell to ensure requirements of OPA, ELSS and the plants future state are being met and improved. Champion 5S in designated manufacturing area, emphasis on improvements in productivity and visual management utilizing CI Tools (VSM, 3P, TPM, 5S etc).
- Team development including coaching, recognition, developing and executing training plans to support the individual’s progression and the business’s capabilities.
- Working with support functions to execute on a daily basis to ensure product realisation and customer satisfaction.
- Team management including planning overtime, time and attendance (Kronos), holidays, sickness and completing return to work interviews through all stages, execution of the disciplinary, capability and sickness policy.
- To Own all applicable Production leading indicators and fully understand their deployment to support delivery within area and plant.
- Responsible for supporting internal and external audits for the plant whilst facilitating and leading parts of the audit associated with their production area.

Qualifications:

- Minimum Level 3
- Good understanding of Eaton systems preferable.
Skills:
- Front Line Leader or people management (Preferred)
- First aid training (preferred)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) desirable
