Based in Tywyn, Mid Wales, between the stunning Snowdonia mountain range and picturesque local beaches. About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing high-performing teams.
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of Production and Technical Operatives, ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of production lines. You'll play a key role in driving performance, maintaining exceptional quality and hygiene standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
As a Production Supervisor you will:
- Champion a strong culture of Health & Safety, ensuring the wellbeing of yourself and your team at all times.
- Lead daily shift briefs, clearly communicating production plans, objectives, and expectations.
- Drive operational performance, ensuring production targets and key KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Promote a "right first time" culture, focusing on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all quality, safety, and hygiene checks are completed accurately and to the required standards.
- Carry out daily machine safety inspections and proactively address any potential issues.
- Manage labour resources effectively to maximise productivity and reduce downtime.
- Support waste reduction initiatives and ensure compliance with waste management procedures.
- Lead shift changeovers and deliver thorough handovers to ensure operational continuity.
- Coach, motivate, and develop team members, building a highly engaged and effective workforce.
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the wider operation.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within your area of responsibility.
- Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain and how production performance impacts the wider business.
- Support the delivery of THG's strategic objectives through strong leadership and operational excellence.

What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational skills with experience managing performance against KPIs and objectives.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene, and HR procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining exceptional standards.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to go the extra mile when required.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about developing both yourself and your team.
