Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Rotherham
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours (Day shift)
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Our client, a prominent player in the engineering industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to lead their shop floor production operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about driving efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring high-quality production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to operational targets and deadlines.
- Manage and lead shop floor employees, including performance management, absence management, and recruitment.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, working closely with the Engineering and Project Management teams.
- Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean, organised work environment in line with company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and support operators in adhering to safe work practices.
- Investigate quality issues and implement root cause corrective actions to enhance production quality.
- Collaborate with the Planning team to align production schedules with customer demands.
- Utilise KPIs and PIs to monitor team performance, making recommendations for improvements.
- Support the People & Culture department in employee relations matters and development plans.

What Our Client Is Looking For
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (Nuclear and Aerospace experience is desirable).
- Proven track record in managing production within a busy department.
- Exceptional leadership and organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with high emotional intelligence.
- Analytical problem-solving abilities and experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and practices.
