Production Supervisor Permanent Full-Time

Salary – Circa £46,000 DOE
Location – Office based in London

Join a high-end, rapidly growing bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and architectural joinery manufacturer. Managing premium projects across both residential and commercial sectors, they operate from a modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Combining advanced HOMAG CNC machinery, beam saws, and edgebanders with cutting-edge CAD software and traditional craftsmanship.

Due to heavy investment across their manufacturing and design teams, we are looking for a technically sharp Production Supervisor to take charge of the day-to-day running of the factory floor, ensuring every project moves safely, efficiently, transparently, and on time through all stages of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Organise, allocate, and supervise daily workloads across Bench Joiners, Machinists, CNC Operators, Veneering, Assembly, and Factory Operatives according to project priorities
  • Maintain continuous workflow throughout the workshop, ensuring drawings, materials, and components are ready before production starts to prevent bottlenecks
  • Manage live project tracking by issuing, updating, and maintaining Job Cards and documentation to ensure full project traceability
  • Update Monday.com daily to record production progress, log delays, highlight projects at risk, and reflect actual project statuses
  • Carry out hands-on quality checks at each manufacturing stage to identify defects early, enforce approved drawings, and minimise rework
  • Maintain clear daily communication with the Managing Director, Design, and Project Management teams regarding progress and potential delays
  • Maintain high standards of factory organisation, housekeeping, product identification, and storage
  • Promote and enforce strict workshop Health & Safety practices, safe machinery operation, and hazard reporting

  • Proven experience in a hands-on Supervisory or Factory Management role within high-end, bespoke joinery or furniture manufacturing
  • Comprehensive understanding of bench joinery, timber machining, CNC operations, veneering, and assembly processes
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex technical joinery drawings, cutting lists, and production documentation
  • Track record of managing project workflows, tracking systems (e.g., Monday.com, Job Cards), and maintaining strict quality control
