Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to lead our night shift operations across Wrapping, Machining and Strip production areas. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global engineering business and play a key role in driving safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement within our manufacturing operation.

Here at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, in Rotherham, we are proud to manufacture Orkot® bearings and wear rings. Orkot® is the world's leading brand in composite bearing material for wear resistant bearings under high load. With over 60 years’ experience in composite bearings, our Rotherham facility provides a full service, from engineering concept to delivery of a bearing solution for specialist markets such as marine, hydro & tidal power.
About The Job
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and developing a team of approximately 10 employees, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, quality and customer delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating the night shift team across Wrapping, Machining and Strip operations to achieve operational targets.
- Ensure machining activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards.
- Planning and reviewing workloads to ensure efficient production output.
- Support problem solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives within the machining area.
- Promoting a strong safety-first culture across all manufacturing activities.
- Monitoring product quality and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Supporting employee development, training and competency management.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on Quality, OEE and On-Time Delivery.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a proactive and engaging leader with:
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining operations, manufacturing processes and associated production challenges.
- Experience of CNC machining and/or precision engineering environments would be highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of quality standards, continuous improvement and production performance measures such as OEE.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and production-related systems.
- Knowledge of quality systems, continuous improvement and manufacturing processes.
- The ability to inspire, develop and motivate others to achieve business goals.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of machining operations and a passion for leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, driving safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Location
This role is based at our Rotherham site.
Working hours
The working hours for this position 38 per week, working the following night shift:
- Sunday: 6:00pm to 6:00am
- Monday to Thursday: 11:00pm to 6:00am
