This role reports to the Production Technology Manager.

You will work closely with all print, digital and moving image teams.

Requirements

• Experience in similar role in a media production environment
• An excellent working knowledge of media production processes and services
• General "can-do" service attitude
• Have a proactive, flexible approach and actively suggest new ideas.
• Capability of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking abilities
• Excellent communication, problem solving and organisational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with non-technical people face to face or via email.
• Be able to work independently as well as part a team
• Physically capable to perform the role
• Form good working relationships with end users
• A flexible attitude to working out of hours when required
• Effective problem solving, able to recognise root causes and identify ways to overcome them
• Able to adapt to new working methods and practice technology advances
• Keep abreast of changes in technology by investigating new systems, techniques and equipment, particularly Adobe technologies.
• Ability to learn quickly and implement new technology.
• Keep up to date with the industry by building and maintaining a network of contacts
• Working knowledge of macOS, Windows 10 and Linux operating systems
• Good technical understanding of production workflows for print, digital, moving image, audio as well as colour pipeline, acquisition formats and technical standards.
• Working experience of production software and hardware including Autodesk Flame / Flame Assist, Adobe Creative Cloud, Da Vinci Resolve, Baselight and Avid Protools
• Experience of Render farms (software and hardware) and render managers (Deadline etc)
• Experience of software deployment tools including Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune
• Extensive knowledge of production centric, high-performance core infrastructure, including scalable SAN and NAS systems, networking, servers, workstations and associated security requirements. (Quantum would be an advantage)
• Good command line and scripting knowledge
• Prior people management experience would be an advantage
