Our Story:

Here at McVitie’s, we’ve been crafting the UK’s favourite biscuits and cakes since 1839. The Manchester factory proudly produces some of McVitie’s most loved products such as Jaffa Cakes, Seriously Chocolatey Digestives, Hobnobs, and Penguin, to name a few!

McVitie’s is owned by pladis, one of the world’s leading snacking companies. We are the proud steward of over 300 years of family baking and confectionery experience. Our brands include McVitie’s, Ulker, and Godiva.

Family and ideas have always been our ingredients. Our founding families believed biscuits and chocolates could bring moments of happiness to the world. Their ideas have stood the test of time. Their spirit continues to inspire our future. It’s in the care and the craft we bake into biscuits and chocolates that have been loved for generations. And it’s in the fresh ideas, the new twists, flavors, and textures we add to old and new favorites.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
