Role: Production Support Database Engineer
Location: London/ Belfast/ Birmingham/ Sheffield
Duration: 12 Months
Work Mode: Hybrid, 1 day per week
Pay: 340 GBP/day (Inside IR 35)
Any other working conditions - travel/on call/shifts

Security Clearance is Mandatory

The Role
Security Cleared Onshore who will be responsible for managing production support database having Oracle, PL/SQL knowledge and Unix scripting.

Your responsibilities:

  • Oracle Database Knowledge

    • Good understanding of Oracle Database concepts
    • Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries
      • Joins, subqueries, views, indexes
    • Data validation and data analysis
    • Understanding of Oracle schemas, tables, and relationships
  • Production Support

    • L2 Production Support experience
    • Incident, Problem, and Change Management
    • Application support involving Oracle backend databases
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
    • Monitoring and ticket resolution

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • UK local associate with Security clearance
  • Good understanding of Oracle Database concepts
  • Ability to work on 24x7 production Environment
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries
    • Joins, subqueries, views, indexes
  • Data validation and data analysis
  • Understanding of Oracle schemas, tables, and relationships

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Oracle PL/SQL knowledge- with OCA certified
  • Good communication skills, specifically: listening to customer needs, restating those needs, and documenting work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly and self-directed
  • Must be willing to work diligently to meet deliverable deadlines
  • Demonstrated high degree of initiative and self-guided work.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan own tasks and estimate level of effort for assigned tasks
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills, strong team working ability.
