Production Cell Leader | High Wycombe | 3-Month Temp to Perm | £40,000pa / £19.75 to £28.50 per hour

A really good opportunity has arisen for a Production Cell Leader to join a global high-tech manufacturer on a temp to perm basis. This is a fast turnaround hire, with my client looking to interview and start a Production Cell Leader as quickly as possible. You will lead a small team of electro-mechanical technician's who build and repair complex instrumentation.

On a Day-to-Day Basis

The Production Cell Leader’s responsibilities will be:

  • Support leadership and development within the team.
  • Help coordinate routine operations within the cell to meet agreed safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people skills objectives (SQCDP).
  • Operate within Health & Safety standards. Lead 5s compliance via audits within the team.
  • Operate within industry ISO standards TQM. Lead ESD compliance via audits within the team.
  • Ensure weekly production schedules are met and achieve ‘On Time/Right First Time’ targets.
  • Support development and skills capability within the team.
  • Seek to improve and innovate in line with production processes and techniques.
  • Support Inventory Control practices.
  • Deliver business benefit via continuous improvement, utilizing knowledge of operational excellence skills.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience within an electro-mechanical build and test manufacturing environment
  • A recognised relevant engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND etc is desirable but not essential.
  • And/or relevant experience/similar role in a similar environment.
  • Health & Safety compliance (COSHH / SSOW).
  • ESD trained.
  • Yellow belt practitioner – 5S methodology, 8 wastes, Kaizen, process mapping, practical problem solving (PDCA)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word, Outlook)
