Job Description
Production Team Leader
Salary: £40-45k
Our client, an innovative and growing manufacturing business based in North Down, is seeking to appoint a Production Team Leader to join their team.
As Production Team Leader, you will play a key role in driving the smooth and efficient operation of the production department. You will coordinate daily activities, lead and support the production team, and ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will also play an important role in ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.
You will act as a bridge between management and your team, communicating goals, resolving issues, and motivating the team to perform at their best. You will also monitor workflows, ensure efficient utilization of materials and machines, identify areas for improvement, and help implement processes that increase productivity and reduce waste.

This is a full-time permanent role working on a 2-week rotating shift pattern Mon – Thurs (day shift 0730-1930hrs and night shift 1930-0730hrs).
Criteria
Essential
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ supervisory/people management experience within a fast-paced manufacturing facility
- Experience in understanding schedules to ensure customer orders are met on time
- Experience in computerized stock systems
- Working knowledge of 6S housekeeping standards
- Working knowledge of H&S procedures within a busy department
- Computer literate in particular Excel
- Good numeric skills
- Flexibility to work overtime as required (paid)

Desirable
- Yellow Belt qualification
- Supervisory qualification
- Knowledge of working to Value Stream principles
- Knowledge of ISO9001
Salary is in the region of £40-45k plus benefits including pension, paid overtime, life assurance, and bonus scheme.
