About the Role

Cleone Foods is looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Production team.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting and developing team members, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

- Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of Production Operatives
- Allocating resources and delegating work effectively across shifts
- Coaching and training employees to ensure competence and performance
- Monitoring productivity, quality, food safety, and health & safety standards
- Managing employee attendance, return-to-work processes, and day-to-day people matters
- Conducting quality control checks and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately
- Working closely with Supervisors, Managers, and fellow Team Leaders to achieve operational targets
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the factory
- Ensuring all cleaning, hygiene, PPE, and housekeeping standards are maintained
- Conducting effective shift handovers and communicating operational updates
What We're Looking For
We're Seeking Someone Who Has
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Line Leader, Supervisor, or similar role within a production/manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
- The ability to train, coach, and develop team members
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Hygiene standards
- Experience working towards productivity and efficiency targets
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when required
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production and packing activities
- Ensure staffing levels are sufficient and resources are deployed effectively
- Monitor team performance and productivity
- Ensure all CCPs, quality procedures, and company policies are followed
- Maintain BRC and food safety standards
- Carry out workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety checks
- Complete and verify production records and departmental documentation
- Coordinate staff breaks and shift rotations
- Identify and escalate machinery, quality, or product safety concerns
- Build positive working relationships across all departments
