Production Team Leader
Location: Tewkesbury
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £34,300 + 10% shift uplift (£37,732)
Shift Pattern
AM/PM shift rotation
The Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a Production Team Leader to join a prominent manufacturing business in the Tewkesbury area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong people manager who is passionate about safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
You’ll deputise for the Production Manager, and be responsible for leading day-to-day production activities, driving KPI performance, developing your team, and ensuring products are delivered effectively.
Duties
- Support factory planning activities.
- Oversee a team of circa 15 operators.
- Deputise for the Production Manager when required.
- Ensure production KPIs are achieved.
- Create solutions to production challenges and bottlenecks.
- Plan labour requirements and proactively address resourcing concerns.
- Ensure daily production output is accurately recorded and reported.
- Carry out appraisals and performance reviews.
- Lead root cause analysis activities.
- Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with customer, quality, and industry standards.

Background
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership or line management experience.
- Strong understanding of health and safety.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and lead teams effectively.
- Continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset.
