Production Team Leader

Position Type: Regular - Full-Time
Requisition ID: 44750

About the Role

This is a shop floor Team Lead position within the Production team at our Wombourne plant. This role is a great opportunity to support in leading the area’s performance, efficiency and quality whilst working to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing and recording area deviations — identifying, reporting and resolving any non-conformances or issues that arise within your area during your shift.
  • Working as a hands-on area leader rather than a traditional line manager — you will guide, support and coordinate colleagues within your area on a day-to-day basis, with formal reporting lines sitting with the Shift Manager.
  • Playing an active role in driving shop floor performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Working as part of a wider shift team, reporting into and supporting your Shift Manager to ensure seamless production operations across the site.

What you’ll need to be successful

Essential

  • Previous experience in a Team Leader or similar leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, engage and develop a team.
  • A solid understanding of health & safety responsibilities.
  • Flexibility and commitment to work a rotating days and nights shift pattern (2 days on, 1 day off, 2 nights on, 3 days off).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and support colleagues at all levels.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Food Safety or HACCP awareness.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with MDI, Lean, 5S or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • A relevant leadership or management qualification (e.g., ILM Level 2/3 in Leadership & Management or equivalent).

Benefits

Although we do encourage you to taste the goods, you'll be pleased to know we don't pay you in chips. Alongside your salary, you'll enjoy a range of benefits including:

  • Private single healthcare.
  • An excellent salary sacrifice pension scheme where we'll contribute double what you do, up to a maximum of 12% of your salary.
  • 25 days' annual leave from day one plus bank holidays (increasing with service), giving you plenty of time to recharge with the opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days holiday per year.
  • Life insurance cover providing peace of mind for you and your family.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay, because the moments that matter outside of work matter to us too.
  • Medicash health cash plan, helping you claim money back on everyday healthcare costs, with access to a virtual GP and wellbeing support.
  • TELUS Health employee and family assistance programme offering full wellbeing support - including a 24/7 confidential counselling line, legal and financial guidance, and a range of employee discounts.
  • Salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme.
  • A paid 'Chips In' Volunteering Day, giving you the opportunity to support projects that make a positive impact in our communities.
  • Flexible/hybrid working arrangements where the role allows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
