Build the Future of Autonomous Systems

SYOS designs and manufactures advanced uncrewed systems across air, land, sea and subsurface. We combine intelligent engineering, AI-driven autonomy and innovative design to create next-generation vehicles operating in some of the world's most challenging environments.

Our mission is to extend human capability, protect people and deliver operational advantage through accessible, scalable and intelligent autonomous technology.

We're looking for a Production Team Leader

To lead our assembly team and help bring the next generation of autonomous maritime systems to life.

About The Role

As Production Team Leader, you'll supervise and coordinate the electrical and mechanical assembly, installation and integration of autonomous maritime vessels, ensuring production activities meet engineering specifications, quality standards and project deadlines.

You'll lead a team of technicians and fitters, coordinate daily workloads and work closely with Engineering, Software and Quality teams to keep production running safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands complex assembly environments, enjoys developing people and is passionate about improving production processes through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and develop the team: Supervise technicians and fitters, allocate work, monitor progress, provide technical guidance and build a collaborative, safety-focused team culture.
  • Manage production delivery: Coordinate assembly, installation and integration activities to meet production schedules, quality expectations and project milestones.
  • Oversee assembly and integration: Ensure electrical and mechanical systems are assembled in line with engineering drawings, specifications and applicable maritime standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities: Work closely with Engineering, Software and Quality Engineering teams to resolve issues and support successful system integration.
  • Maintain quality and safety: Ensure compliance with quality procedures, ISO 9001 principles, health and safety requirements, and the SYOS Quality Management System.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing: Apply methods such as 5S, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping to reduce waste, improve workflows and increase production efficiency.
  • Monitor performance and continuous improvement: Lead daily SQCDP meetings, track team progress, report on production performance and implement improvements to productivity, quality and delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
