Job Description
Location: T B C Conversions, Unit 3, Brunel Road, Croft Business Park, Bromborough
TBC Conversions is a leading vehicle conversion company specialising in wheelchair-accessible vehicles, minibuses, and bespoke vehicle conversions.
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Team Leader to join our team in Bromborough. You will lead and support production, delivering high-quality vehicle conversions safely and efficiently.
A key part of the role will be diagnostics, fault finding, and problem-solving. You will use your technical knowledge and experience to support when issues arise, identify root causes, and find practical solutions to keep production moving and maintain our quality standards.
About The Role
What you’ll do:
- Lead, motivate, and support a team to achieve daily production and quality targets.
- Provide hands-on technical support, including diagnostics, fault finding, and resolving production or vehicle conversion issues.
- Troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor quality and productivity, addressing issues before they impact production.
- Coach and develop team members, sharing technical knowledge and supporting training needs.
- Maintain accurate records, job cards, and compliance with health, safety, and ISO standards.
- Work closely with the Production Manager and other departments to resolve production challenges and maintain workflow.
- Perform service checks, repairs, and post-repair road tests.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and prevent supply chain shortages.
- Promote a positive working environment while ensuring Health & Safety, quality, and company standards are maintained.

Ideally, You Will Have
- Previous Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar experience within an automotive, vehicle conversion, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.
- Good practical knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanical or electrical components, and/or manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and take accountability in a fast-paced environment.
- The confidence to support team members with more complex technical issues.
- The ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
- A strong focus on quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- A relevant technical qualification or equivalent practical experience.

Required Criteria
- Hold a full valid driving licence
Desired Criteria
- Experience within vehicle conversions and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement would be an advantage.
