Duties

The post holder will be responsible for leading a variety of manufacturing cells, ensuring that all safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved and in accordance with the safe/standard working procedures. The role requires the completion of all production tasks including, but not limited to, inspection, packing, boxing, labelling and the operation of production machinery.

  • Prior experience in a leadership role e.g., Team Leader/Supervisor – 2 years.
  • To be educated to a GCSE standard or equivalent and/or be able to demonstrate working at this level or have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be highly computer literate and be able to effectively use MS Office software and support members in its use.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Requires the ability to work within health and safety guidelines as laid out by the management.
  • Ability to operate machinery once trained.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks at pace to achieve targets.
  • The ability to read, understand and complete quality documentation.
  • Be able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach.

This position requires knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties involved, including regular communications outside the province of Quebec, training, email communications, and frequent meetings and interactions with English- only employees.
