Due to internal promotions within our Manufacturing function, we're excited to be recruiting 2 Production Team Leaders to join our growing team in Wrexham. These opportunities reflect the career development pathways available at Ipsen and offer the chance to join a high-performing manufacturing team at an exciting time of growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to take the next step in their leadership career. As a Production Team Leader, you'll play a critical role in leading production activities, driving performance, and developing a high-performing team within a fast-paced and highly regulated manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

As a Production Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards. You'll be a visible leader on shift, supporting your team, coordinating resources, and ensuring operational excellence across the production area.

This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact by driving continuous improvement, promoting a strong quality culture, and helping to shape the future success of our manufacturing operations.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and directing manufacturing activities across your shift team
  • Ensuring production plans are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards
  • Managing resources, equipment, and staffing to achieve operational targets
  • Driving a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Supporting compliance with cGMP, EHS, and quality requirements
  • Maintaining audit readiness across manufacturing areas
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders across the site
  • Escalating operational issues appropriately and supporting problem-solving activities
  • Acting as a deputy for the Production Manager when required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident and proactive leader with experience in a manufacturing environment who can motivate teams and deliver results.

You'll bring:

  • Previous experience leading or supervising teams within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is essential
  • Experience working in aseptic manufacturing environments, including sterile production processes and associated GMP standards is highly desirable
  • Strong people leadership and communication skills
  • A strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Sound knowledge of cGMP requirements and working within a regulated environment
  • The ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced production setting
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for developing others
