Your new role
As Production Team Leader, you will lead a team of skilled technicians within a high-tech production environment, ensuring production targets, quality standards and customer requirements are consistently achieved.
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams, you will support the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing function, drive continuous improvement activities, and ensure employees are developed to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of production technicians.
- Support the training and development of technical staff.
- Ensure daily production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support problem-solving and root cause analysis activities.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and operational procedures.
- Track and report on production performance and KPIs.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Promote a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture.

What You'll Need to Succeed
- HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a high-tech production environment, OR
- ONC/OND qualification (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-tech production environment.
- Experience supporting, coaching and training technical staff.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and drive operational performance within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
