ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a Production Line Lead to join the team.
Now part of the Genuit Group’s Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, ADEY has ambitious growth plans.
Working Hours:
AM Shift: 5:30 - 13:45 Monday to Thursday
5:30 - 12:30 Friday
PM Shift: 14:00 - 23:00 Monday to Thursday
13:00 - 17:00 Friday
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucester GL10
The Role
As a Production Technician, you will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of ADEY's automated chemical mixing, filling, labelling and packing production line. The role focuses on ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.
You will operate, monitor, troubleshoot and optimise automated process equipment involved in the manufacture of chemical products for the water treatment industry. This includes chemical blending, batch preparation, automated filling and packaging operations, routine quality checks, changeovers and basic fault identification.
In addition to supporting the chemical manufacturing operation, you will be required to provide flexible support across other assembly and production areas when demand requires, ensuring business priorities and customer requirements are met.

The Production Technician works closely with Shift Supervisors, Maintenance Engineers, Quality and Warehouse teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality production output.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate automated chemical mixing, filling, bottling, labelling and packing equipment.
- Follow manufacturing instructions, batch sheets, SOPs and production schedules accurately.
- Carry out chemical blending and batch preparation activities in accordance with approved formulations and procedures.
- Set up, operate and monitor production equipment to ensure optimum performance and efficiency.
- Conduct routine line start-up, shut-down, cleaning and changeover activities.
- Verify raw materials before use and ensure correct material traceability is maintained.
- Monitor machine performance and identify process deviations, escalating issues promptly.
- Perform basic equipment adjustments to maintain production performance and minimise downtime.
- Accurately record production data, batch information, downtime and quality checks in line with company requirements.
- Achieve production output targets while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Assist with loading, unloading and replenishment of production lines as required.

The Person
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production or process environment.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and safe working practices.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, good communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, capable of operating machinery safely and effectively.
- Reliable, flexible, safety-conscious, quality-focused, positive attitude, willingness to learn and multi-skill across different production areas.
