Internal Job Title: Production Operator

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all manufacturing activities are carried out with a non-negotiable approach to quality and safety.
  • Act as a champion for developing and coaching the key processes of asset care, machine startup and quality assurance, peer-to-peer safety, changeover and troubleshooting to drive continuous improvements in the key areas of safety, product quality, performance and reliability.
  • Support the risk assessment of standard operating procedures for manufacturing processes.
  • Proactively engage in solving issues relating to safety, quality or environmental matters. Utilise the good spot system to identify areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach agency operators to ensure that requirements of safety and quality are clearly understood and that procedures are followed. Work within your peer group to encourage constructive challenge of any concern relating to compliance with safety or quality standards.
  • Operate stop-work authority where any concerns are recognized in relation to the safety of people or the quality of manufactured goods.
  • Ensure full compliance with the factory PPE requirements and GMP policies.

Experience you’ll bring

  • Experience of operating and troubleshooting automated equipment such as mixing vessels, CIP systems, filling machines, case packing machines and palletising robots.
  • Experience of operating manufacturing equipment to defined quality specifications and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience of compliance with safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
