Production Technician – Animal Health Manufacturing

Location: Berkshire
Salary: £20,000–£22,000
Hours: 30 hours per week – rotating shifts


We are recruiting a Production Technician to join an established animal health manufacturing team. This hands-on opportunity would suit either a recent science graduate or someone with production experience who is comfortable working at technician level.

The Role

  • Carry out manufacturing and packaging operations in accordance with SOPs.
  • Work to GMP, quality, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
  • Complete in-process checks, environmental monitoring, and batch documentation.
  • Operate production equipment and perform basic maintenance and changeovers.
  • Report deviations, safety concerns, and mechanical issues promptly.
  • Support process improvements and wider departmental projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and a safe, organised working environment.

About You

  • A science-related degree is preferred but not essential.
  • Manufacturing, production, or laboratory experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Comfortable following regulated procedures and completing documentation.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player.

Shift Pattern

The role operates on a rotating three-week pattern:

  • Monday–Wednesday, 7:30am–6:00pm
  • Seven days off
  • Thursday–Saturday, 7:30am–6:00pm
  • Sunday off
  • Monday–Wednesday, 7:30am–6:00pm

Due to the site’s location and working hours, applicants must have their own transport.
