Production Test Development Engineer (Weekend Day Shifts) | South East | £50,000–£60,000 DOE + Bonus + Excellent Benefits | Permanent
The Role
We’re looking for a Production Test Development Engineer to develop and introduce test solutions for high-reliability electronic products within a manufacturing environment.
You’ll take test solutions from design and development through to commissioning, validation and production, working closely with R&D, Production, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated production test systems, including hardware and software.
- Develop test benches, fixtures and test equipment for electronic products.
- Install, commission, integrate and validate new test systems.
- Develop test specifications, instructions, drawings and verification documentation.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for production test equipment.
- Investigate test failures, analyse results and carry out root-cause analysis.
- Support electrical, optical and performance testing during product introduction.
- Work with R&D to resolve product and test issues and improve testability.
- Support NPI and industrialisation, taking new test solutions into production.
- Train production teams on new test equipment and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement across test and manufacturing processes.

What We’re Looking For
- Degree-calibre qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience developing production test solutions for electronic products.
- Experience developing automated test systems.
- Strong experience with LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Experience with test equipment design, integration, commissioning and validation.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging electronic test systems in a manufacturing environment.

A hands-on engineering role combining test development, electronics, automation and industrialisation, with the opportunity to see your solutions move from concept through to production.
Please note this role is working Weekend Day Shifts, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday - Total of 33 working hours per week.
