About The Role
Pertemps Dudley Industrial seeks an experienced Production Welder for a manufacturing and engineering firm in Halesowen. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent contract pays £14.46 hourly, rising to £14.96 after three months and a skills assessment. Hours run Monday to Thursday, 7am until 4pm, plus Friday 7am until noon. Duties include MIG welding steel components, fabrication, preparing and positioning parts before joining, and working to drawings, specifications and quality standards. Applicants must demonstrate competent MIG welding, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and prior production or fabricator welding experience within a manufacturing setting.

Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7am – 4pm
- Friday: 7am – 12pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
The Role
- MIG welding steel components within a busy production environment
- Carrying out production welding and fabrication
- Welding components to drawings, specifications and quality standards
- Preparing, positioning and assembling components prior to welding
- Using hand tools and workshop equipment
- Checking finished welds and components for quality and accuracy
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working to production targets and deadlines
- Following all health and safety procedures
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a MIG Welder, Production Welder, Welder Fabricator or MIG Welding Operative
- Confident MIG welding steel
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or production environment
- Able to produce consistent, quality welds
- Able to work from basic engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and hardworking
- Comfortable working to production targets
- Relevant welding qualifications are advantageous but not essential
