£66,582 to £77,368 per annum (pro rata)
Permanent | Part time, 22.5 hours per week
Based in Horsham, West Sussex

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our CAMHS services as Professional Lead.
This is an influential role combining clinical practice with professional leadership, offering the opportunity to shape psychological services, support workforce development and ensure the child's voice remains at the centre of care delivery across Sussex CAMHS.
The role is structured as 50% clinical practice and 50% leadership, providing the opportunity to maintain direct clinical work while influencing service quality, workforce development and professional standards.
The opportunity
As Professional Lead, you will work alongside senior clinical and operational colleagues to support the development of high-quality, evidence-based psychological services for children, young people and families.
- Providing professional leadership and clinical supervision for Child & Adolescent Psychotherapists
- Supporting the development of psychological professions across Sussex CAMHS
- Leading work to improve access to psychological therapies and enhance outcomes for children, young people and families
- Promoting innovative, evidence-based psychotherapeutic practice
- Supporting workforce development, supervision and professional standards
- Providing specialist consultation, assessment and interventions for young people with complex needs
- Working closely with managers and multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality care
- Co-chairing the Trust's Psychodynamic Network and helping shape psychodynamic practice across the organisation

About you
We're looking for an experienced Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist with substantial CAMHS experience and a passion for professional leadership.
- Hold recognised professional registration and accreditation
- Bring significant post-qualification experience delivering specialist psychological interventions for children, young people and families
- Experience of clinical supervision, multidisciplinary working and influencing practice
- Commitment to supporting the growth and visibility of Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy within modern mental health services
- Leadership experience and a strong interest in workforce development, service improvement and professional governance
