About the Role
Our Support and Services team plays a crucial role in Illumio’s success, from seamless deployments to fostering trusted partnerships with our customers. At Illumio, our Professional Services team is responsible for helping customers successfully deploy, adopt, and realise value from our Zero Trust Segmentation platform. We partner closely with our customers and internal teams to deliver secure, scalable, and thoughtfully designed solutions that reduce risk and enable business resilience.
Your dedicated team, committed to early and meaningful collaboration, ensures top-tier service for your customers. Unlike other security firms where teams support dozens or hundreds of products, Illumio provides personalised, high-touch customer support through a specialised product portfolio. This builds long-term customer loyalty, superb relationships, and mutual success.

Your Impact
As a Professional Services Consultant, you will:
- Operate at the journeyman level, working independently on customer deployments while collaborating with senior team members on complex architectural considerations.
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of Illumio's product capabilities, deployment models, and best practices to design and implement solutions for customers.
- Assess and resolve customer issues related to deployment, configuration, and policy using analytical and problem-solving techniques.
- Diagnose unusual situations, identify root causes, and develop tailored solutions — even when limited precedent or documentation exists.
- Evaluate risks, implications, and trade-offs with sound judgment to select the best course of action.
- Uncover gaps or improvement opportunities within customer deployment strategies and security policies, and make actionable recommendations.
- Proactively manage priorities, deadlines, and workload as a self-starter.
- Collaborate with senior team members to validate architectural approaches and optimise product feature application for customer environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by presenting ideas, improvements, and lessons learned.
- Act as a trusted customer advocate and deliver solutions with a Customer First, Always mindset.

Key Requirements
To thrive in this role, bring:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to adapt known approaches to new challenges or resolve ambiguous situations.
- Proven ability to work effectively independently but also recognise when guidance is needed.
- Experience supporting customer-facing deployments, implementations, or technical engagements.
- Clear communication skills to engage across internal teams.
Technical Preference & Bonus Considerations:
- Deep knowledge of networking and network security concepts.
- Working-level expertise in Linux systems and environments.
- Bonus experience with security, cloud, or enterprise infrastructure technologies.
- Prior work in post-sales, consulting, or customer success.
