Professional Services Consultant - Data Protection & Backup
St Albans | Hybrid | Competitive Salary
VIQU has partnered with a specialist data protection services provider that delivers enterprise backup and managed services to help customers protect critical data and defend against ransomware. Due to continued customer growth, they are looking for a Professional Services Consultant - Data Protection & Backup to join their Projects and Professional Services team, taking ownership of technical delivery across SMB and enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities of the Professional Services Consultant
- Lead technical delivery across SMB and enterprise projects
- Implement customer data protection solution designs
- Troubleshoot basic and complex technical issues
- Escalate issues to vendor support and engineering teams
- Produce High Level Designs, Low Level Designs and as-built documentation
- Create clear technical documentation for delivered solutions
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers and internal teams
- Support Account Managers and Technical Pre-Sales
- Administer Rubrik, Druva, Zerto and Commvault platforms

Key Requirements of the Professional Services Consultant
- Strong technical background in Professional Services delivery
- Experience designing and implementing complex data protection solutions
- Experience working with detailed Statements of Work
- Strong customer-facing communication with technical and business stakeholders
- Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills
- Experience with backup and DR technologies such as Rubrik, Druva, Zerto, Commvault or NetBackup advantageous
- Exposure to VMware, Hyper-V or Nutanix advantageous
- Exposure to Azure, AWS and Microsoft 365 advantageous
- Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems advantageous
- PowerShell scripting and automation skills advantageous
- Understanding of ITIL and ISO 27001 advantageous
