Professional Services Consultant
HQ: Preston, Lancashire
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a well-established and growing Managed Service Provider based in Preston, delivering enterprise-grade IT infrastructure, cloud and security solutions to a wide range of business clients. With a strong technical team and a reputation for excellent client service, they are now looking to add an experienced Professional Services Consultant to lead project delivery and implementation across their customer base.
THE ROLE
This is a senior hands-on implementation and project management role, sitting at the highest technical level within the service teams. You will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery for clients — from implementation and handover — working across server infrastructure, network infrastructure, Azure, security services and application deployments.
You will work closely with the Technical Director, Account Management and Sales teams to scope and deliver the right solutions for clients, acting as a senior technical escalation point and playing a key role in mentoring and developing junior members of the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
