Professional Support Lawyer & Knowledge Manager

Location: Edinburgh

Firm: Leading Scottish Law Firm | Real Estate & Infrastructure

Salary: Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits

Type: Full-time | Permanent

The Role

For a Scottish Real Estate lawyer who enjoys the technical side of the law but is looking for something beyond a traditional fee-earning role, this is an opportunity to use your expertise across both Professional Support and Knowledge Management.

The role sits within a highly regarded Property and Infrastructure division, supporting the Scottish Real Estate team with the knowledge, precedents, training, and resources needed to deliver consistently high-quality client advice. You’ll work closely with experienced fee-earners, helping to identify and share useful knowledge, develop practical resources, and ensure the team remains up to date with changes across the property landscape.

Alongside the PSL responsibilities, you’ll spend around two days per week working on wider Knowledge Management initiatives across the firm. This will involve working with the Head of Knowledge and Service Delivery, PSLs, and knowledge champions across different practice and sector groups to develop the firm's knowledge strategy, improve how information is captured and shared, and support the roll-out and ongoing development of its knowledge systems.

There is plenty of scope to make the role your own, from developing precedents and supporting property training through to improving the firm's approach to knowledge management, contributing to learning and development, and helping shape how technology and AI are used to support the firm's wider knowledge strategy.

This would suit a solicitor with strong Scottish Real Estate experience who enjoys research, technical legal work, knowledge sharing, and developing others, and who would like to use their legal expertise in a broader, firm-wide capacity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
