Profit Protection Compliance Data Specialist (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol

Working Pattern: Hybrid 2/3 days in office per week

About The Role

As a Profit Protection Compliance Data Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of stock and delivery data across our onboard cruise retail operations.

Working as part of the Profit Protection team, you’ll investigate discrepancies, identify opportunities for improvement, and use data insights to support better decision-making across the business.

This 6-month opportunity is perfect for someone who wants to make a visible impact, improve processes, and help shape the way we manage stock accuracy and compliance across our global retail operation.

You’ll be joining at an exciting time, supporting the continued development of our Profit Protection processes and helping us drive better visibility, accuracy, and control across our operations.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Take ownership of processing incoming delivery discrepancies, investigating variances, and applying corrective adjustments within agreed thresholds.
  • Complete daily ASN file compliance checks, follow up with ships for outstanding delivery files, and support investigations into cross dock and transfer discrepancies.
  • Carry out GRN error checking, support vendor invoice reconciliation, and process write-on and write-off adjustments while ensuring all activity is accurately recorded and auditable.
  • Using operational data, maintain discrepancy trackers, produce weekly and monthly reporting, identify trends, and highlight areas of risk to key stakeholders.
  • Use your insights to help drive improvements, reduce stock loss, and support the wider Loss Prevention team by escalating repeat issues, potential theft indicators, and high-value losses where required.
  • Support reporting through Power BI and Zipline, while providing wider administrative and reporting support to the Profit Protection function as business priorities evolve.

About You

You’ll be organized, analytical, and confident working with large volumes of data while maintaining exceptional accuracy. You’ll enjoy problem-solving, have a process-driven approach, and be comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when working with high volumes of data.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a busy workload.
  • Confident reviewing and interpreting data to identify issues and trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across different areas of the business.
  • Sound judgement and confidence when following processes and applying escalation thresholds.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Business Central.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Previous experience within a stock, supply chain, retail, or logistics administration environment.
  • Experience analyzing data to identify root causes and support improvements.
