Profit Protection Manager

Location: London & Greater London

Salary: £58,500-£65,000 + bonus

About the Role

A Profit Protection Manager is required to work for a leading fashion and luxury retail brand with a large store estate across London and Greater London. This is a newly created, standalone role, offering the opportunity to build and shape the profit protection function from the ground up, partnering directly with the Head of Retail Operations to set the strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the identification, monitoring, and management of stock loss and cash loss across the estate
  • Creating and embedding policies, processes, and compliance activity that protect stores, colleagues, and customers
  • Acting as subject matter expert and key point of contact for Retail teams on profit protection matters
  • Building effective relationships with store teams, field teams, and Support Centre functions
  • Working with external suppliers, networks, business partners, third-party loss prevention teams, and authorities to minimise theft and reduce risk
  • Delivering projects, new systems, and technology against agreed timescales, budgets, and measurable outcomes
  • Producing and presenting reporting to senior stakeholders, including Finance, Retail, and People teams

Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience:

  • Working in a multi-site retail environment, with a background in loss prevention, profit protection, or asset protection
  • Operating and reporting confidently at a senior/exec level, with genuine experience partnering with Head Office, Finance, or corporate stakeholders
  • Being comfortable travelling regularly across a large store estate, balanced with time at Head Office
  • Communicating and influencing effectively at all levels of the business, from store floor through to senior leadership
  • Working with commercial awareness, agility, and a continuous improvement mindset
