Job Description

Could you be the person who gets more local children swimming, and keeps them coming back? We are looking for a Programme Co-ordinator to lead our Junior Swim Programme at Headingley and grow the community participation and membership around it.

Beckett Sport runs the sport and physical activity offer at Leeds Beckett University, from student and performance sport through to junior swimming, athletics and tennis for families across Leeds. Our junior and community programmes are growing, and this role sits at the centre of that growth. You will work closely with our Academy Manager and Programme Co-ordinator (Students), and alongside colleagues in athletics and tennis, so that every participant gets a joined-up experience.

In this role you will

  • Plan, promote and deliver the Junior Swim Programme, membership schemes and community sport activity, with safety and customer experience at the front of everything you do.
  • Recruit, induct and support swim coaches, casual staff, volunteers and student employees, building a positive and inclusive team.
  • Run the administration that keeps the programme working enrolment, progression, waiting lists, membership records, risk assessments and reporting.
  • Use participation, retention and customer feedback data to improve what we offer and report on how the programme is performing.
  • Build partnerships with local schools, clubs and community organisations, creating pathways into volunteering, coaching and leadership for our students.
  • Work with colleagues across the wider Beckett Sport offer on holiday camps, multi-sport events and promotional campaigns.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
