LGR Programme Manager/Director
Location: Derby
Contract: Until 31 March 2028
Hybrid – 2/3 days per week onsite
I’m currently recruiting for a Programme Director – Local Government Reorganisation (LGR).
This is a brand-new, high-profile role leading strategic coordination and assurance across the Derbyshire LGR programme, working with the Chief Executives of all ten councils and senior political and organisational stakeholders.

🔑 Key requirement: Significant LGR experience is essential.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in:
- Local Government Reorganisation / large-scale public sector reorganisation
- Programme Director / senior leadership positions
- Working across multiple councils or sovereign organisations
- Political and senior stakeholder management
- Programme governance, assurance, risk and dependency management
- Leading complex, high-profile transformation programmes
- Working with Chief Executives, elected Members and senior officers
- Coordinating multiple PMOs and complex workstreams
