What you'll do
At Viasat UK our team provides industry leading, government approved Data at Rest encryption solutions to government and defence organisations, globally. Our capability extends into multiple systems and platforms within a myriad of domains, providing versatile projects and exciting opportunities.
The program Director will be a key part of the Data at Rest leadership team, responsible for turning strategic ambition into tangible results. You will collaborate with the sales & business development team to lead the growth of the revenue of government and defence programs of record, managing internal and external stakeholders to shape and influence future programs by early engagement in the capability lifecycle and building strong partnerships. You will lead a team of project managers and account managers, providing governance and direction to successfully deliver projects and programs in line with the operational plan.

The day-to-day
- Leverage existing and foster new relationships to identify and win opportunities to grow the revenue of funded development of Data at Rest capability.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure they align with the strategic goals.
- Lead a team of project managers, establishing repeatable delivery practices, and fostering an environment of transparency, agility, and accountability.
- Develop and manage program schedules and budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and community organizations. Communicate program progress and outcomes to stakeholders regularly.
- Ensure RAIDO and change management consistency across the project portfolio.
- Ensure that all programs comply with relevant regulations and standards. Establish performance standards and accountability measures to maintain high-quality program delivery.
What you'll need
- 3 years’ experience within a business development/sales role
- 3-5 years experience of project Management in a technical environment
- Qualified to APMP/Prince 2 Practitioner (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of MoD and /or secure communications programs
- UK national and able to achieve DV clearance
- Role requires you to be onsite in our Farnborough location for an average of 2 days per week

- Good working knowledge of MS Office including MS Project
