We're seeking a commercially-focused PMO Consultant to provide independent oversight of a major value creation agenda. This is an opportunity to sit at the centre of strategic transformation, operational improvement, and business performance.
You’ll work closely with Functional Leaders, Cluster Leaders, and FP&A, bringing together operational and financial insight to identify risks, challenge assumptions and strengthen delivery confidence. With exposure to Executive Committee, Board, and investors, you’ll have a visible role providing governance, transparency, and performance challenge needed to ensure strategic initiatives deliver against agreed financial and business outcomes.
Role Highlights
- Maintain a consolidated portfolio view of value creation initiatives, linking activity to strategic objectives, budgets and financial targets.
- Monitor forecast and realised benefits, identifying gaps between initiative commitments and actual P&L performance.
- Challenge initiative owners where delivery confidence falls or benefits are at risk, supporting practical recovery planning.
- Provide executive-level reporting covering progress, risks, benefits, performance gaps and delivery confidence.
- Where required, take hands-on project management responsibility for high-risk or strategically critical initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
