Role Overview
The role requires a comprehensive understanding of how all value units, products, regions, legal entities collectively integrate alongside a comprehensive knowledge of the industry in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the client.
Leadership and Management Responsibilities
- Nature of Responsibility: Management responsibilities through subordinate managers performing diverse activities cross discipline e.g. Finance, Technology, Banking.
- Problem Solving: Covers a wide range of activities that require evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated, perhaps novel situations.
- Innovation: To what extent does the role contribute to and manage change e.g. suggest improvements to products/processes. Is proactive in developing ideas continuously searching for improvements in techniques which add value to the business and has full responsibility for implementation.
Accountability and Decision Making
- Decision Making: Latitude to make decisions outside of established procedures but within a policy framework. Broad guidelines are available. Role implements strategy set by others.
Strategic Responsibility
- Strategy Setting: Creates business plans for own teams and expected to contribute into value unit, region, product, legal entity strategy.
Communication
- Internal Communication Skills: The role requires the ability to guide, persuade, and influence others through the developed skills of communication and diplomacy.
- External Communication Skills: The job is likely to be involved in both internal and external negotiations which will have a major impact on the function and possibly the entire business unit.

Attributes
- Experience: 12 years experience in programme, portfolio, or transformation delivery including a sustained track record of leading large, complex, and globally distributed change portfolios to agreed outcomes, timelines, budgets, risk parameters, and benefits.
- Leadership: Extensive experience directing large-scale platform and data migration transformations including SAS environments. Able to govern option analysis, target-state direction, roadmap development, environment readiness, testing, parallel running, cutover, backout planning, and decommissioning across multiple programmes or workstreams.
- Technical Understanding: Deep understanding of SAS migration dependencies including code remediation, data lineage, reconciliation, control requirements, operational readiness, and post-migration assurance. Able to challenge technical proposals, assess tradeoffs, and make informed enterprise-level delivery, investment, and risk decisions.
- Transformation Experience: Significant experience leading complex enterprise-wide technology transformations across multiple business areas, platforms, and geographies with accountability for overall transformation outcomes rather than only individual project or workstream delivery.
- Governance and Oversight: Proven ability to own transformation governance, enterprise scope, benefits realization, RAID oversight, cross-programme dependencies, stage gates, assurance, and audit-ready documentation.
- Stakeholder Influence: Confident driving timely decisions, accountability, and delivery pace across multiple workstreams, programmes, and global teams. Proven experience influencing and aligning executive and senior stakeholders across business, engineering, operations, risk, security, control functions, and suppliers. Able to secure agreement on target-state priorities, funding, sequencing, readiness, adoption, and material delivery tradeoffs.
- Regulatory Experience: Extensive experience delivering complex change within regulated financial institutions with a strong understanding of risk management, security controls, operations, audit, and regulatory expectations. Able to govern risk acceptance, exceptions, and remediation at transformation level.
- Financial and Resource Management: Experience owning or contributing to investment cases, financial forecasts, resource strategies, and delivery capacity.
