Who You Are
Our client is a leading firm in the cryptocurrency space, building a market-leading trading business to meet fast-growing global demand. You'll join a small, high-calibre team driving regulatory transformation and international expansion programs, working closely with cross-functional teams and business owners across the firm.
This role is about implementation readiness: taking a regulatory ruleset, assessing its business impact, and building the plan to get the firm ready to operate under it — not remediating controls after the fact. The team runs lean, so you'll need to be comfortable owning multiple workstreams simultaneously without a large supporting cast. You care about well thought-out strategy, best-in-class execution, and understand how to track and measure a program's impact.
What You'll Do
- Take a regulatory ruleset, assess its impact on the business, and build and own the execution plan to get the firm ready for it
- Run multiple workstreams in parallel, operating lean and without reliance on a large program team
- Collaborate with teams across the business to deliver meaningful outcomes on regulatory and international expansion programs
- Partner with business units to solve problems and manage execution related to business expansion, regulatory transformation, and technology delivery
- Translate business requirements into deliverable specs alongside business units
- Manage the overall project lifecycle and embed project management best practice to ensure excellent delivery
- Partner with trading, finance, compliance, risk, technology, and operations to ensure accurate breadth and coverage on any given project
- Create process inputs, streamline workflows, and continuously improve project management practice
- Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders on progress, status, and risk
- Work on some of the most ambiguous, high-profile projects core to the firm's success

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- A background in capital markets regulatory change delivery, focused on implementation readiness — getting a firm ready for new regulation or registration — rather than front-office program management or post-go-live controls and remediation
- Strong, transferable change delivery fundamentals: the specific regulation or methodology matters less than the ability to pick up a new ruleset, assess its impact, and build and execute a plan across a broad range of problems
- A proven track record of running multiple workstreams solo in a lean environment, without a large supporting team
- Genuinely nimble, eager to multitask, and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- 7+ years' experience in regulatory change, product or project management, business development, or management consulting
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive to implement change and make processes more efficient
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience driving diverse functions toward a common goal
- Exposure to capital markets regulatory regimes (e.g. UK/EU frameworks) is useful but not essential — adaptability across regulatory contexts matters more than deep expertise in any single regime
- An interest in cryptocurrencies and digital assets is a plus
