The Role
As Program Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role within the Markem-Imaje Thermal Transfer Product Division, overseeing cross-functional product development from specification to industrialisation and market launch. You’ll collaborate with senior internal and external technical and commercial personnel—both domestically and internationally—to meet the company’s technological goals, deliver highly complex thermal transfer coding products, and align with business priorities.
This opportunity requires you to shape technical solutions, ensuring timely and cost-effective product availability while adhering to MI’s global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountability for technical delivery: Align product availability with business priorities, cost and time objectives, and global quality standards for manufacture and sale.
- Strategic project initiation: Lead the creation of the business case and validate project specifications in consultation with all stakeholders prior to design phases.
- End-to-end project lifecycle management: Oversee projects through specification, design, integration, verification, qualification, field trials, and final product launch.
- Risk mitigation and issue resolution: Identify and manage project risks while driving timely resolutions to escalated issues.
- Team leadership: Build and sustain cohesive project teams to optimize schedules, budgets, and project success through aligned efforts.
- Global governance alignment: Support MI’s global project governance in coordination with the Global Manager for Program Management.

Minimum Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably with relevant industrial sector focus).
- Relevant Industry Experience: New Business Development or related experience.
- Program/Project Management: Proven success as a Project or Program Manager within the industrial equipment market sector.
- Business Acumen: Strong stakeholder communication and negotiation skills.
- Leadership Insight: Track record in conflict resolution, results-driven decision-making, and people management.
- Project Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience using Project Management Tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, or equivalents).
- Formal Certification: A recognized Project Management Qualification (variously PMP, Prince2, or equivalent).
- Technical Expertise: Developing and industrialising complex electro-mechanical products with embedded software is a strong asset.
- International Exposure: Work experience in global, multi-location markets preferred.
Desirable (but not essential) Qualifications:
- Additional experience with software-defined industrial solutions.
