Program Procurement Lead

About the Role
As a Program Procurement Lead, you’ll shape and execute project strategies, procurement plans, and contracting strategies for nuclear projects, ensuring full-cycle success from concept to close. Working as part of the Global Supply Chain Solutions (GSCS) Project Procurement Team, you’ll act as a key internal liaison—collaborating with Business Units, Engineering, Quality, HSE, and Project Managers—while also driving commercial relationships with suppliers.
A strong grasp of English (spoken and written) is mandatory, with bonus points for fluency in Czech, Romanian, Polish, French, Italian, or Spanish. Travel is required within Europe (10–20%), reporting directly to the EMEA Manager, Projects Procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Contracting
- Conduct pre- and post-award procurement activities for EPC/EPIC/EPCM projects
- Develop sourcing and procurement strategies, including:
- Identifying project demand and supplier opportunities
- Managing supplier communications
- Aligning pricing, delivery, and terms with financial, quality, and compliance needs
- Lead RFx (Request for X) processes, from development to negotiation (including RFQs, tenders)

Market & Cost Optimization
- Analyze supply chains to drive cost improvements across commodity groups
- Collaborate with Category Management for Strategic Supplier development
- Assess and formulate pricing strategies, managing complexities in specialized materials, equipment, and services
Relationship Management & Issue Resolution
- Mediate contract disputes and resolve supplier performance concerns
- Nurture long-term supplier relationships while ensuring cost efficiencies
- Drive commercial compliance with relevant regulations and Westinghouse’s procurement policies
Project Leadership
- Represent GSCS PPM in project team reviews
- Define and maintain the overall project procurement timelines
- Lead procurement strategies for project-specific goods and services, balancing cost, quality, and deadlines
- Explore emerging technologies to create value for end customers

Requirements
- Experience in EPIC project procurement
- Working knowledge of NEC/FIDIC regulations
- Strong program management skills
- Analytical mindset + problem-solving agility
- Business acumen with cost/value optimization capabilities
- Ability to assess and build supplier resilience
