Program Quality Leader
I'm looking for a Program Quality Leader to lead overall quality performance for automotive programmes, acting as the main quality interface between customers, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams while ensuring successful product launches and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for owning programme quality targets and KPIs, driving APQP and launch quality activities, managing customer quality requirements, coordinating problem-solving initiatives, and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
Main Functions
- Lead overall quality performance for JLR interior plastic component programmes.
- Own programme quality targets and KPIs, ensuring delivery against customer requirements.
- Drive APQP and launch quality activities from early development through SOP and series production.
- Manage customer quality requirements, translating JLR specifications, standards, and expectations into clear.
- Lead problem-solving and containment activities for quality issues during development, launch, and series production.
- Coordinate cross-functional resolution of critical issues, ensuring root causes are identified, corrective actions are implemented, and effectiveness is verified before closure.
- Oversee product and process quality readiness.
- Support and lead PPAP submissions to JLR, ensuring requirements are fully compliant.
- Monitor manufacturing and supplier quality risks, proactively identifying potential issues affecting timing, quality, or launch and implementing mitigation and escalation plans.
- Represent in JLR programme meetings, providing clear status reporting, risk escalation, and recovery plans.

- Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar quality roles within automotive-related companies.
- Strong knowledge of PPAP Management, PSW closure, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, R&R, and Plant Launch activities.
- Experience reporting to customers and managing customer-facing quality activities.
- Knowledge of automotive interior plastic components and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Experience working with Ford and/or JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) standards and expectations is highly desirable.
- High level of English (advanced or bilingual).
- Strong teamwork, customer orientation, and proactive mindset.
- Availability to work in the UK (Fradley, Birmingham).
