What is the role?
Are you analytical, organised and interested in how major infrastructure projects are successfully planned, controlled and delivered?
As a Programme & Project Services Graduate, you’ll gain experience across areas such as risk, planning and scheduling, reporting, project controls and information management. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to understand how project information, schedules and risks are managed, helping teams make informed decisions and deliver projects with confidence and control.
Through a range of placements, you’ll build a broad understanding of Programme & Project Services and develop the analytical, organisational and project controls skills needed to progress into a specialist role within the function. The planned graduate pathway includes rotations across Risk, Planning and Information Management.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have a minimum of a 2:2 honours degree in a relevant discipline such as Project Management, Business Management, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or another related subject.
We’re looking for graduates who are excited by the opportunity to develop specialist project services expertise and support the effective delivery of major electricity transmission projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
