Are you a qualified Barrister or Solicitor with a passion for legal education and a commitment to helping aspiring barristers succeed? We're looking for an inspiring Programme and Student Lead to play a pivotal role in the delivery, quality and ongoing enhancement of our Bar Practice Course at our vibrant London Moorgate campus.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape an outstanding student experience while contributing to the continued success and growth of one of our flagship professional programmes.

As our Programme and Student Lead, you will:

  • Lead and support the successful delivery and quality assurance of the Bar Practice Course.
  • Use student performance, engagement and satisfaction data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with academic colleagues and professional services teams to deliver an exceptional student experience.
  • Champion innovation in teaching, assessment and digital learning.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment, promoting student voice and representation.
  • Represent the programme at recruitment events, open days and other student-facing activities.
  • Manage student complaints and disciplinary matters in line with University policies
  • Share best practice across campus and online teams, contributing to a culture of excellence.
  • Deliver timetabled teaching alongside leadership responsibilities

Is this you?

  • You will need to be a qualified barrister or solicitor
  • 2:1 degree (or equivalent). PgCHE or willingness to work towards.
  • One of the following qualifications: LPC, BVC/BPTC, Bar Finals, QLTT/QLTS or LSF, or a strong academic background to Master’s level
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Ability to analyse data and drive continuous improvement
  • A collaborative and student-focused approach

Desirable:

  • Proven senior management experience with strong leadership capability within a legal practice or educational environment
  • Fellowship of Advance HE
