Are you an organised Project or Programme Coordinator looking to play a key role within a world-class automotive engineering environment?

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Coordinator to join a Programme Management Office supporting complex automotive and engineering programmes. This role will coordinate Open To GO (OTG) governance activities, manage programme actions, support stakeholder engagement, and ensure accurate reporting of programme metrics and release status.

Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Programme teams, the role will maintain programme visibility, ensure action closure, support operational planning activities, and contribute to robust programme delivery. This role requires strong organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced engineering environment.

The successful Programme Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring programme activities remain on track through effective meeting coordination, reporting, governance and stakeholder management. This is a predominantly on-site role offering close collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role will support continuous improvement activities whilst ensuring programme records and reporting remain accurate and up to date.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate OTG meetings and review activities
  • Lead administration and operation of OTG review meetings alongside Programme Management teams.
  • Prepare agendas, capture decisions, record actions and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Maintain action registers and ensure effective action tracking.
  • Drive follow-up activities to ensure actions are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Escalate overdue actions, issues and risks through appropriate channels.
  • Maintain accurate programme records and status updates.
  • Compile and distribute OTG agendas, action logs and programme review packs.
  • Produce KPI reports using established reporting processes and data sources.
  • Support visibility of programme metrics and programme health indicators.
  • Coordinate activities across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Programme teams.
  • Promote accountability and stakeholder engagement across programme functions.
  • Support continuous improvement of programme governance and coordination processes.

Requirements of the Role

  • Previous experience in a Programme Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Project Administrator or similar position.
  • Experience within automotive, engineering, manufacturing or product development environments.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, actions and stakeholder communications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management processes is desirable.
  • Understanding of ECR, OTG or similar programme governance systems is desirable.
  • Experience creating KPI reports, dashboards or management review packs is desirable.
  • Knowledge of programme or project management methodologies is desirable.
