CAT Programme Coordinator
Permanent (37.5 hours over 5 days Monday to Sunday), £27,827.32 per annum, plus staff benefits
Lowry is a visual and performing arts venue situated at the heart of MediaCityUK in Salford, one of the world’s most exciting culture and media destinations.
In this role you will be responsible for providing coordination and project support to facilitate the operational delivery of Lowry’s Centre for Advanced Training in Dance (CAT), part of the National Centres for Advanced Training in Dance and other youth dance activity such as the regional youth dance festival, U.Dance NW. In addition, this role requires the candidate to provide training development and pastoral support to the young people on our CAT and internship programme.
The successful candidate will have excellent coordination, organisational and communication skills. You will have understanding of good practice in dance education, training, the youth dance sector and the nurturing of young creative dance artists.
The role is responsible for the operational delivery of the CAT curriculum and for being present at sessions one to two evenings a week (Wednesday and Thursday) and Saturdays in a rotation with the administrator but they are ultimately responsible to make sure these hours are covered. There will be Sundays a couple of times a term to meet other needs such as our auditions and choreographic weekends. Office hours take delivery hours into consideration and take place across Monday – Fri depending on toil from the weekend and other meetings etc needed during the week.
