The Pride in Place Programme

The Pride in Place Programme is a £20m investment (over ten years) in Birchen Coppice neighbourhood - led by residents and partners and overseen by Neighbourhood Boards. As the accountable body for the funding programme, Wyre Forest District Council requires an experienced programme manager to work with the Neighbourhood Board to produce a Vision and Investment Plan and oversee delivery of complex capital and revenue programmes, ensuring deliverability of all projects and programmes and overall effective governance, including financial management, is in place.

The Role

The successful candidate will;

  • Lead the delivery of the Birchen Coppice Pride in Place Programme in Kidderminster
  • Provide technical, operational and strategic advice to the Chair of the Pride in Place Board, Pride in Place Board members and Director of Housing and Planning to ensure the successful delivery of the Pride in Place programme.
  • Be responsible for leading the identification, development and delivery of priority economic growth, regeneration, infrastructure and investment opportunities across Wyre Forest primarily in relation to the Pride in Place programme.

Requirements

They will have;

  • Degree, or equivalent in a relevant discipline or subject area e.g. urban regeneration, economic development, project management, construction.
  • Relevant post qualification experience in a professional and managerial capacity within project management.
  • Experience of managing multi-million-pound capital budgets, spend profiles / cashflows.
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including construction, property, architecture, structural engineering, planning, conservation, quantity surveying, regeneration and highways

  • You will be required to provide a suitable vehicle for this post
  • This job includes duties that may require an element of physical exertion and mobility on an occasional or frequent basis.
  • The post is open to hybrid working.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including a requirement to be available for evening meetings.
