Programme Assurance Director / Hybrid Location: Manchester or London

How you will contribute to transforming the smart energy network and shaping the future
- Provide independent assessment of programme health, readiness, and deliverability across DCC's strategic change portfolio, giving leadership confidence in delivery outcomes.
- Deliver objective assurance and constructive challenge to programme leaders, validating risks, dependencies, assumptions, and delivery approaches.
- Support executive decision-making through clear assurance reporting, practical recommendations, and insight on programme recovery and intervention strategies.
- Identify cross-programme dependencies, resource conflicts, and systemic barriers that may impact successful portfolio delivery.
- Coach and mentor Programme Directors, Programme Managers, and delivery professionals, helping strengthen DCC's overall delivery capability and culture.
What you need to bring
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex, multi-million-pound programmes with diverse stakeholder landscapes.
- Strong experience in programme governance, risk management, financial oversight, forecasting, and benefits realisation.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and challenge effectively at Executive and Board level.
- Expertise in commercial management, supplier engagement, and operating within complex organisational environments.
- Professional programme management knowledge, ideally supported by recognised qualifications such as MSP, PRINCE2, APM, or PMI.
