Programme Director – SAS Analytics Transformation
Location: Sheffield, UK - Hybrid Weekly 2-3 Days

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Programme Director to lead an enterprise-wide SAS Analytics transformation. The role will own the transformation strategy, target-state direction, investment priorities and overall outcomes, while providing senior leadership across business, technology, data, architecture, risk, control and supplier stakeholders.
The successful candidate will oversee a portfolio of transformation initiatives including SAS modernisation, workload migration, code remediation, platform adoption and legacy decommissioning, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, funding, risk and quality parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall SAS Analytics transformation strategy, vision, target state and delivery outcomes.
- Define transformation priorities, sequencing, success measures and investment requirements.
- Lead enterprise-level SAS modernisation, migration, remediation and legacy decommissioning programmes.
- Provide executive leadership across CDAO, technology, business, architecture, risk and control functions.
- Lead Steering Committees and executive governance forums, driving decisions on scope, funding, risk and delivery.
- Manage cross-programme dependencies, major risks, issues and escalations.
- Establish and maintain transformation governance, controls, assurance and executive reporting.
- Own portfolio-level investment planning, budgets, financial forecasts and resource strategy.
- Lead and develop Programme Managers, senior delivery leads and workstream leads.
- Manage strategic suppliers, commercial relationships, service levels and third-party performance.
- Drive adoption of the target SAS environment, including migration, training, operational readiness and transition to BAU.
- Ensure transformation benefits are realised and embedded sustainably within the organisation.

Key Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in Programme Director / Programme Management / Transformation Director roles.
- Strong experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
- Proven experience with SAS Analytics / SAS modernisation / SAS migration programmes.
- Experience managing complex technology and data transformation portfolios.
- Strong understanding of migration, legacy decommissioning and platform modernisation.
- Excellent executive stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong experience in governance, risk, controls, financial management and benefits realisation.
- Experience managing Programme Managers and large, distributed delivery teams.
- Strong supplier and third-party management experience.
- Experience within a large, complex or regulated organisation, ideally financial services/banking.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, dependencies and significant transformation risks.
