Lead Complex Defence Design Programmes That Make a Difference
If you're looking for a role where you'll genuinely influence projects, build trusted client relationships and take ownership of multidisciplinary design programmes from concept through to delivery, this could be exactly what you've been waiting for.
We're supporting a growing multidisciplinary consultancy that continues to secure high-profile work across the UK Defence sector. As part of their continued growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Programme Lead to become the primary interface between clients, framework partners and internal design teams.
This isn't a traditional Project Management position.
It's an opportunity to become the trusted lead across a growing portfolio of Defence design programmes, coordinating Architecture, Structural and MEP teams while ensuring projects are delivered commercially, technically and operationally to the highest standards.
ποΈ The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations Delivery, you'll take ownership of an expanding Defence account, managing client relationships from the earliest enquiry through to completed design.
You'll define project scope, prepare commercially robust fee proposals, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure programmes remain on track across RIBA Stages 0β6.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
