Programme Lead
At Tenzing, we’re on a mission to become the best pan-European software and tech investor. We seek out high-growth European tech and tech-enabled businesses and help build them into international powerhouses.
Our Growth Team is the value-creation engine behind the portfolio. It's a team of hands-on operators who work alongside our companies to help them scale faster.
We're looking for an organised, hands-on Programme Lead to run the Growth Team's core programmes and operating rhythm. This is a 12-month maternity cover, starting in December with a handover period, and reporting to the Growth Team Lead.
Run the Growth Team operating cadence
You'll run the team's weekly and monthly rhythm as a managed programme. Each forum has a clear purpose, owner and set of inputs, so the cadence runs predictably and connects the Growth Team into the wider firm's leadership rhythm.
- Run the weekly leadership forum and monthly team alignment, from agendas and pre-reads through to follow-through.
- Prepare programme updates and materials for leadership forums with our CEO and CIO, monthly portfolio sessions with deal leads, and billing and finance reviews.
- Maintain a forward calendar of forums with clear deadlines for inputs, and a single log of actions and decisions followed up to closure.
- Keep a consolidated view of programme status, risks, issues and dependencies across the team.
Own programme operations and resourcing
You'll be accountable for how the team's capacity is tracked, allocated and forecast across the portfolio.
- Track and report on billing, capacity and forecasting, making sure time is reported on time.
- Match resourcing to demand across the portfolio.
- Keep HubSpot current as the system of record and reconcile billing monthly with Finance.
- Flag cost exposure and off-target forecasts early.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Onboard new portfolio companies
As new companies join the portfolio, you'll own their onboarding into the Growth Team model, setting each one up cleanly for the hold period against a standard plan.
- Align internal stakeholders on timing and workstreams before onboarding begins.
- Coordinate the first touchpoints with each company and set up the right channels and forums.
- Keep the onboarding plan clear and tracked to agreed milestones.
Lead our Sherpa and AI Sherpa programmes
You'll own the plan, rhythm and community of both programmes and line-manage the people within them, handing AI Sherpa responsibility to an incoming AI Programmes Lead during the cover period.
- Keep standing forums running and spot new opportunities for the programmes.
- Line-manage Sherpas and AI Sherpas, and onboard new joiners.
- Support the Sherpa alumni community.
Run governance for our AI Delivery Programme
You'll run the cadence, forums and reporting that keep our AI work visible to leadership. Delivery and strategic direction sit with the programme's steering committee.
- Own agendas and materials for the AI steering forums with our CEO and CIO.
- Keep a tracker of AI initiatives, milestones and risks, and report on Entrepreneur in Residence engagement.
- Lean in on specific requests where the programme needs extra capacity.

Behaviours
- Highly organised and dependable: deadlines met, pre-reads out on time, nothing left without an owner and a date.
- Credible with senior stakeholders, including our CEO and CIO, and confident chasing actions across the firm.
- A supportive people leader who keeps a programme community engaged and developing.
- Proactive in flagging risks, cost exposure and off-target forecasts early.
- Quick to ramp up, able to pick up a live remit through a handover and keep it running.
How we work
The role is full-time. The programmes run to fixed dates and the monthly billing and reporting cycle is unforgiving of gaps, so it can't be delivered on a reduced basis.
You'll be based in our Regent Street office four days a week, with more time in the office while you ramp up. Monday is an internal day, with the whole team together from 9.30am.
This role is unlikely to be right for you if…
- You're looking for a part-time or reduced-hours arrangement.
- You want to set strategy rather than run delivery. This role owns the cadence, governance and delivery of our programmes.
- You'd prefer a largely remote role. The Growth Team is in the office four days a week and works closely in person.
