Vercity Programme / Project Manager Opportunity

Vercity are seeking to recruit a proven Programme / Project Manager from an asset /facilities management background to join our team on a highly sensitive, critical project based in Hertfordshire. Working in a complex contractual environment you will report to the General Manager, be confident in able to achieve enhanced security clearance and your role will include:

The Role:

  • Own the end-to-end management of all variations, change notices, and small works, ensuring timely delivery, commercial control, and contractual compliance.
  • Act as the single point of contact between clients, service providers, and internal teams, driving alignment, approvals, and decision-making.
  • Lead the assessment, pricing, risk management, and delivery of variation programmes, protecting Project Company interests while maximising revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor performance, resolve issues and defects, and provide clear reporting, forecasts, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of variation processes, governance, and controls to improve efficiency, transparency, and customer experience.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience managing change, variations, projects, or programmes within FM, estates, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or PFI environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, change control, contract management, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and reporting capability, with a track record of managing multiple priorities in complex environments.
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience), with project management, engineering, building services, or commercial qualifications considered advantageous.
